Campus Overview

The School is situated on a 2.6-acre campus, ‘AGPN Acres' in tranquil and verdant environs. The academic building is an impressive structure designed by a well-known group of architects from Purulia. The residential area set amidst greenery with students being provided their own recreational area.

We are having table tennis, and badminton court, gymnasium, two larger sports fields, dining hall, activity rooms, and a gymnasium provide activity-based experiences and leisure pursuits for the children in their spare time.

Conscious efforts are made to teach the reading habit and develop communication skills. In the middle section (VI to VIII), teachers integrate technology into the learning process. In the senior section (IX to XII) the focus is on achieving "good results" at the board's examination.

Modern Classroom

A dynamic, comprehensive and latest technology education (smart class) is an interactive method of teaching. In order to provide modern facilities of education to the students AGPN Convent & ER School has installed interactive system in its classes. This is the latest technology in the field of education and an essential requirement for the students in the present scenario of globalization of competition with a view to make the students smarter. This system makes the teaching and learning interesting and easy. Interactive system has the vast text and in-built lesson plans and ready-made questions & answers sheet as well as audio-visual material for all subjects. It is very useful for language teachers as it has a provision of saving documents presentation videos etc. Which can be accessed directly from the classroom and connected with the server. Teachers have opportunity to add extra important matter in the existing text. Thus, it becomes very useful for the teacher and students both. This system is very good for allergic affected teachers who get relief from chalk dust. Teachers can use marker on white board. Interactive system provides different types of teaching and learning by giving questions, activities, quizzes, worksheets and projects to the teachers and students. Thus, the system is good for teaching and learning the integrated study.

Library

Library is a very important place where teachers and students get knowledge by reading various books of literature and get information by reading journals, magazines, news papers, seeing DVD’s, CD’s, Videos and online resources which help them to update their knowledge AGPN Convent & ER School has established a very rich and well furnished library as well as containing books of academics and non academics, journal and news papers along with the internet facilities for teachers as well as for students. We have selected, very useful and important books for our school library which are beneficial to enhance academic knowledge and knowledge to live real life. Students and staff members get advantage of the library as library books are issued to them for reading.

Modern Labs

Physics Lab

Our school has established its best Physics lab which provides facilities to the students to conduct various activities related to the practical, experiments and projects, which also help them to understand theory more effectively. The lab has equipments and apparatuses which are used to understand concepts and methods of measurement with the accuracy by the students. The wave formation and propagation phenomena involving reflection and refraction of light, properties of metal, magnetic effects of electric current, semi-conductor devices etc. are measured and related equipments to this effect have been established in the Physics lab. Various activities and projects are done by the students under the proper guidance of the concerned teacher.

Chemistry Lab

Chemistry lab has established in the school keeping in view of the standard of students of Senior Secondary level. The lab has equipped with the equipments and apparatuses which are required for doing experiments and practical related to the syllabus of the students. The teachers pay special attention to motivate and encourage to the students for innovation of ideas and thoughts to do the project related to their course.

Maths Lab

The school has its Maths lab where the school has collection of models related Mathematics, puzzles, games, teaching aids and other materials to carry out various activities by the students to learn the Mathematics, which are very informative too. Students learn many activities in the lab. In case of problem the teacher remains available to solve the problem in the easiest way.

Sports

Outdoor Sports :

Your infant will be in a safe and comfortable environment designed to stimulate and amuse him or her at all levels of development. The infant program is flexible and accommodating to each child’s schedule and needs, with activities based on the children’s interests. During circle time, we sing songs and read age appropriate books with each other. When weather permits, we’ll go for walks around the block in triple strollers or play outside in our large play yard.

Indoor Sports Room :

Indoor Sports hall is a well-developed sports area. That includes table tennis, kick bags, punch pads for martial arts, carom, chess, checkers and a lot of indoor sports enjoyed by the students for amusement.

Teaching Methodologies

The school has adopted new scientific and digital methodology of teaching by leaving traditional methodology to teach the students. For this purpose, teachers of our school are given ample opportunities to attend seminars and workshops at various places organized by CBSE and experts of other educational institutes with a view to update their knowledge. In our school we have adopted learning through interaction and involvement system. Therefore, in our school we have designed theme based class rooms with modern scientifically devices teaching aids. To facilitate the students in their learning. The school has provided them a good activity room as well as a good library. The school management takes interest to select highly qualified, experienced and disciplined teaching faculty for the students to teach them keeping in view of the rapidly changing education system in the globalization.

The aim of DPS is to shape the students according to their standard i.e. (Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary level) to enhance their skills in communication, presentation, reasoning, problem solving and life skills to face the essential challenges in the present time as well as in future also. To develop and improve the skill of the students, the school has established various clubs such as Disaster Management club, Eco club, Health awareness club and Reading club which increase their awareness about how to tackle with the difficulties and problem, as well as importance of environment and health and hygiene.
